International eHealth ecosystems and the quest for the winning value proposition: findings from a survey study
For national and international healthcare, eHealth ecosystems are becoming increasingly important. In such ecosystems, multiple actors collaborate to create value for the whole healthcare system. At the same time, it is essential to understand the goals that each actor pursues. In this study, the findings from 2 surveys and a workshop are presented, focusing on the perceptions of different types of stakeholders within the eHealth ecosystem, including social services, healthcare, technology developers, and researchers. There is a high preference across industry types for interoperability between services, although there are vast differences regarding other propositions. Having a common perception of the values of an eHealth ecosystem can contribute to the end goal of forming an ecosystem by assisting actors in working together.
